 The
118 Son we purchased from The Riley Cabaniss Family is a “Great” one.
His name says it all. He is a “Kool Kat” and he is
here in Texas as of September 15, 2004.
He is extreme in body length, remarkably shallow chested, big boned, with loin
shape and hip structure that is in demand by both breeders and feeders alike.
Each day at feeding time he says, Good Morning, with his long neck and head held
high and proud. His temperament is unbelievable.
Being that his Mother was a competitive show ewe for Morgan Cabaniss, she is
also the Mother of their keeper buck for 2004. “Kool Kat” is a paternal
brother to the great “Cash”, “Caesar”, “Nickel
and Dime”, and many more.
We presently have 16 Ewes sonogrammed bred to “Kool Kat” along
with an additional 29 Ewes for February and 15 hand picked Ewe Lambs for March.
Owned jointly with MacLennan Club Lambs, we will sell a limited number of Buck
lambs from both Texas and Colorado, and they will be priced and sold jointly.
So come early and get your name in the hat. Two of our top buck lambs will
be in Sedalia.
We also purchased the Mother of “Cash” jointly owned with Blount
Farms in Denison, Texas. We now have 3 embryos and 1 live breeding coming in
2005. Hill Country purchased another 5 Ewes from the Cabaniss Production Sale
and 2 of them are bred to “Kool Kat”.
Early in the year we purchased a 118 X 172 “Caesar” Son we call “Brutus” and
a 118 “Smokey” Son named “Goliath” jointly owned with
KNC Club Lambs in Ballinger, Texas.
When you add all of this to our “Viagra” sons, “High Voltage” and “Makumshine”,
2005 could prove to be a dynamic and powerfull year for Hill Country. |
